The Enchanted Forest is a gallery-style performance that provides close-up views of IONA’s dancers as live art installations. The audience circulates through a Living Art Gallery.
Extracted from IONA’s 2011 Hawaii Theatre Season production, DESTINY, the installations are inspired by the maternal strengths of Earth and the forces of change that shape the destiny of humanity. Each installation begins with dance and ends with a narration about the installation touching on topics of environmental conservation, renewable energy, meditation and reflection, and interpreting the visual image and movement of the dancer.
This event is made possible with support from the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Jean Rolles, Michael North, and Kasanow & Associates: Wealth Management.
